Noah Glenn Carter, a popular TikTok influencer with over 8 million followers, has lost his home in a fire that broke out on Monday. Carter, who is known for his videos exposing online drama and controversies, shared a video on his account showing the aftermath of the blaze and a voicemail he left for his brother-in-law while he was trapped inside the burning house.
In the video, Carter explained that he was in the house when the fire started and had to escape through the second story window using a ladder that his dad got him. He said that while his dad was getting the ladder, he was on the phone with his brother-in-law, leaving a voicemail, because he had been trying to call him back. He said that his brother-in-law saved the voicemail and sent it to him, and he decided to share it with his followers.
The voicemail, which Carter warned was “a little disturbing”, captured his panic and fear as he screamed for help and tried to get out of the window. He can be heard saying things like “Hey, Didi! No, that one, though. Hey, hey, Didi! Didi! Help! Help! Help! Hey, hey! We’re gonna drop down the ladder. Hey, hey, didi, go over there. Go there.”
Carter said that he and his dad were able to get out safely, but his house was completely destroyed by the fire. He said that he did not know what caused the fire, but he suspected it was something electrical. He said that he was grateful to be alive and thanked his fans for their support and prayers.
Carter also started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his recovery and rebuilding. He said that he lost everything in the fire, including his clothes, his computer, his camera, and his personal belongings. He said that he was not expecting anyone to donate, but he appreciated any help he could get. He set a goal of $100,000, which he said was the amount he needed to get back on his feet.
As of Tuesday, the GoFundMe campaign had surpassed the goal, raising over $8,000 from more than 500 donors. Many of Carter’s followers expressed their sympathy and admiration for him, calling him brave and strong. Some of his fellow TikTok creators also donated and shared his campaign, such as @noahschnapp.
Carter thanked everyone who donated and said that he was overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of the TikTok community. He said that he would use the money to buy new clothes, a new laptop, and a new phone, and to rent a temporary place to stay. He said that he hoped to resume making videos soon and to rebuild his home eventually. He said that he was optimistic about the future and that he believed that everything happens for a reason.
