ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has said in the media breefing after the meeting with the delegations of United Ulama Council and SA Friends of Palestine that former President Jacob Zuma is free to vote any political party as he chooses to.
The ANC has said that they will not comment on Zuma’s announcement of supporting the newly-formed MK Party they have said they are lookingf to take legal action against the party for using the former ANC’s disbanded armed wing.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Liberation War Veterans’ Dan Hato has said Zuma’s alignment to the party is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. The party also stated that: “MKLWV would like to make it very clear that the so-called uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party is not MK of OR Tambo. It is not the MK of Chris Hani. It does not by any stretch of the imagination represent the disciplined and dedicated cadres of the authentic Umkhonto we Sizwe.”
